Inaniwa Udon Noodles Handmade By Craftsmen With Domestic Flour 450g

You’ve probably never eaten udon noodles quite like these ones. In a world where almost every noodle manufacturer mass-produces their noodles in factories, Inaniwa stands out as unique.

They’ve stuck by their traditional methods and, even today, their udon is completely handmade by traditionally-trained udon noodle craftsmen.

These noodles are handmade by experts over a four day period in a traditional process that makes them truly one of a kind.

Utilizing 100% domestic Japanese wheat flour, these craftsmen make a high-hydration dough (60% water!) which is rested for over 43 hours so that the flour can absorb all of that moisture. The dough is then dried for a day, before being hand-stretched and cut.

This is the kind of unique, traditional product that is difficult to find in Japan, and almost impossible to find outside of Japan. Experience truly authentic udon with Inaniwa's high-hydration handmade noodles. 

Instructions

Put the noodles in a pot of boiling water, when they freely float around the top–after about 3.5 minutes–they should be cooked.

Enjoy hot or cold, in soup or with a dipping sauce.
